Hey rob, if you're after a firmer pedal a bigger master cylinder might be the answer.
Besides the good old bolt on M/JZA-70 mc, which costs an absolute crap load to rebuild, I recently found out there's 2 Hilux mcs with the same bolt pattern, both bigger than the celica mc, and available brand new.
The different bore sizes are:
celica 13/16"
hilux 1. 14/16" (7/8) $105. Part no. JB1526
hilux 2. 15?16" $158. Part no. JB1503
supra 16/16" (1) $130 just for a rebuild kit.....
Those prices are from my local Auto 1, so I imagine they are PBR mcs.
As you can see the 2 hilux mcs are probably slightly more "sensible" upgrades, as going from 13/16' to the 1" supra is a pretty big jump. But, I've heard nothing but the very best of results from the supra upgrade.
I'm just pissed off that I'm stuck with a supra mc that cost me 90 bucks & needs another 200 odd spent on it, and that I found out about the hilux ones after I bought the supra one.
