You have to buy a half cut to get the engine running properly (there is no other way despite other peoples claims!), the engine packages don't have all the required components. Your looking at $3500 for this Vs $1500 for an engine and trans. Buy an Autronic and wire it up. The cost of wiring up the Toyota ECU would be huge, that's even if you can find someone who knows how to wire up the ECUs correctly. I have never seen anyone else wire up the 1UZ ecus correctly! If they claim they have then I suggest you check the ECU and write down all the error codes which come out. And there are quite a few cars around that have this. For controlling the Auto you can use the auto which comes in the car (not recommended because its a weaker gearbox than the A340E/A341E which come with the 1uz) and the MX83 stock auto computer, or go tiptronic. The 1uz fits into the MX83 quite nicely. Talk to Biased99 as he has recently completed his conversion. [Report message to a moderator]
