I got the car started today. After a bit of playing around I got it idling and starting pretty well. Starts almost immediately without any throttle now which I guess is good.
Took a bit of fiddling but eventually I got the idle sorted. To start with it was up at about 2500rpm, got it down to about 1050rpm which isnt much more than the old stock carb.
Sounds good anyway.
The whole adventure wasnt too bad except for slightly out ignition timing to start with and a few flames
