inertia...thanks for letting me know, I wasn't really thinking about that side of things. That is very expensive for an EPA test, but I know that it is a fairly standard price when going for an engineers certificate because of the hi tech equipment involved.
taitran, I will pay you a visit in the next few months, my car is at the panel shop at the moment. $800 sounds very reasonable, but I will have to factor in the cost of buying the engine, converting it to turbo, and then dropping it in with an after-market computer...and other accessories (intercooler, etc.)
I don't know how you can charge $800 when other places charge $5000 for this installation? Is this just labour cost?
