Yeah, Big doors will be a problem for you in your case. Parking not so bad ( but I've been parking that big Arse Ute as well)
I think you main issues will be getting parts for them however if there are a few over there it will probably be no more diffiult to find them than here.
Fuel wise on an auto 7M-GTE my brother was getting 320-340 Km to a tank in the city, Now getting ~380 with the 1J/manual conversion. the Tank is in the realm of 60-70 litres (need to be corrected)
They are different to drive than what you are used to ep. if you get one with the TEMS suspension. that is weird until you get used to it. but that being said they do suprisingly well in standard form.
What I'd really like to say here is find a GA70 and an RA28. take a 1J back with you in august and put it in the Supra.
That would leave you with a 1J Supra, An RA28 and a 1G-GTE.
I'll let you come up with somewhere to keep the 1G.... 
Is importing a car from Aust not an option at all??
