Thu, 14 July 2005 12:51 Norbie off these forums has broken 3-4 w58 and w57 gearboxes with around that much power from his 2JZ. I wouldn't think it would last all that long, but really depends on your driving style at the end of the day. But you don't see toyota releasing the GTE motors with W58's do you. And no, the 1jz bellhousing will only suit R154 boxes. If you want to bolt on a W58 you will need to get a 2JZGE (non turbo) bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, fork, throwout bearing and slave. Good luck finding a 2JZGE box, they aren't cheap when you find them. Oh and there is someone on here that just finished putting a VVT-i 1JZ into an MX83 cressida and another guy popping one into an MA61. [Report message to a moderator]
