hey dude just to let you know
i bought a 100% straight 1975 ta22 about two years ago, it had a tiny bit of rust and the paint on it was brand new, it was missing a battery and interior hoodlining, but was lowered and heavy duty springs, the old 2t was a shitter of course but i wasnt worried about it as i had a spare 2tg at home, this car cost me $1200, i sanded it down and reprayed it another colour i liked more (sapphire blue with lilac pearl) and swapped in the 2tg bought a set of 45mm twin webbers and new tyres
so far im up to about $3500 but i am laughing about it
my point is if you can hold on long enough there is always a better car around the corner that needs mimimal to no work to be done, the first car i ever bought was for $4500 which i thought was great but then i was always seeing cheaper ones around
