A Supra 6-speed is only $3k. You know you want to. 
Personally I think a W58 will have a limited lifespan behind even a 1JZ, because let's face it, you wouldn't go to all the trouble of a 1JZ conversion if you weren't planning to drive it hard. You should get a good 6 months out of it though if you're relatively gentle.
Also note the later model W58's are a bit stronger (larger bearings and layshaft gears) so grab one of those if you can.
