looks like its just cracked on the underneath part..
mask the outside of the guard with tape, sand the inside part..
paint the hidden under area of the guard black or primer.. if its cracked on the outside of the guard, being pearl, sell a kidney and take it to a panel beater and get it done properly.
(excuse the poor grammar in that paragraph..)
