aussie260z Regular Location: ACT Registered: April 2005	Re: 2jzge into Zed Wed, 20 July 2005 03:56 Yeah, i could have moved it alot further foward, would have made it possible to run aircon and make it so i dont have to slightly modify the shifter hole in the Zed(shifter comes out to far back) BUT..........with the intake crossing over the block as the 2jzge does, the height of the engine becomes a major concern as you move it further foward, the bonnet just clears anything as it is now, but if it was further forward i would probably have to end up having a massive bonnet scoop, If you have the 2jzgte or the 1jzgte this aint going to be an issue as the intake does not cross over the block like the 2jzge's does, Also, ill post some pics of my gearbox crossmember and tailshaft, and pics of the trans tunnel, i dont know exactly, but im assuming that the Getrag is alot wider than the JZA80 W58 5-Speed box, i just have clearance in the trans tunnel from the original Zed Transmission mounting ears, if you used the Getrag, assuming it is infact wider (which im sure it is) you would have to remove these ears, But this is what folks have to do when they run the 5-Speed that comes behind the RB25DET (its a fat sucka to), [Report message to a moderator]
