Does the car take a few cranks to start after being left for an extended period of time? - leaking injectors if so.
Does the car lack power and turn over easier than it used to? - low compression probably through worn rings if so.
Does the car blow smoke, use oil, run rough?, ..., - buggered engine - rebuild time!
You really haven't provided enough infomation to diagnose the problem, have a compression test done and post the results - I know it's a pain in the arse to do with an ST185, but this will give a better indication of engine condition than people's musings?!
