Fri, 22 July 2005 22:59 i see what you mean, if it was forged the die would be pushed in and out, so it would not have any space bigger at the far end of the piston because that is not possible, ie the frozen water thereoy, the ice has to slide out like the die does. heres the same pic but the original jpeg, i converted them previously to gif's to save loading time but the quality isnt too good in gif format. i know the area you mean, the section around the grudgeon pin, if it curves back in then it cant be forged, it has to go straight down. well its hard to see but i will look again at the motor. i managed to measure the piston and its 86mm which i think is stock.
