ok i ran the car last night for about 3 hours with the lights on, i had no problems with charge. the 12v and 14v thingy was right so the alternator is definately charging. The single plug is plugged in at the back of the alternator. The other wire with the nut was a little lose but was still on. I tightened that and went out for another drive. Still i have the warning light on. WTF? i dont get it.
