I looked at alot of hubs from other cars over the last couple of days and they looked alot stronger than the dodgy trailor hubs i saw on some early Volvo's,
I looked at Jags, Volvo's, Fords, Holdens, Nissan, none were really that suitable,
Buts its truly amazing how many cars use the same bearings as the zed,
Like every Holden made between 1957-1990, most 60's & 70's fords, lots & lots of Toyota's, every Volvo from 1968-85 & heaps of Nissans/Datto's,
But no hubs really suited,
All of them had weird offsets and the distance between the bearings was always off, so the hubs would have required machining,

BUT.............the problem is solved, ive managed to track down some Hubs from Hoppers Stoppers in Melbourne made from K1045 Steel, supposed to be strong stuff, rated at 630 Mega-Pascals (whatever that means) but supposed to be high-tensile steel, engineer said that would be fine,
Its got the correct offset, has a 5-stud Nissan Pattern, which is a Ford/Mitsubishi and some Toyota (5 by 114.3mm),
Brand new with new Bearings, seals and caps $320/Pair,

Engineer frowned upon using alloy hubs for street use,

The engineer liked my engine mounts/gearbox crossmember though...........YAY!!!

Also found hubs that might have been a possibility made from Billet 4140 steel, this stuff is supposed to be a tad bit stronger, rated at 770-930 Mega-Pascals Smile, but much much much harder to machine,
