I was under the impression that engines usually run between 80*c and 100*c?

You can just replace the oil pressure switch in the head with a pressure sender an hook that up to a gauge.

I'm not 100% sure, but i suspect that the Gen 3 3S blocks have a oil temp switch mounted on the back of the block up near the coolant drain plug. I noticed that our 1997 Rav4 (3SFE) has an oil temperature warning light, so i'm guessing that my motor has one too as they are the same generation. Can anyone confirm? If they do it should be a simple matter of swapping the switch for a temp sender.
