unless you have gone big on horsepower and spend the money to get the geometery right, you will get more benefit from 2 inch lower springs, competition konis and spend the extra the coilovers would cost you on getting the car setup properly.if you live in the city and use the car as a daily driver, either coilovers or konis, and 2 inch lower springs with the right spring rate for your car, will take a hammering. ive had the tops of koni's come undone because of the state of public roads.unless you get alot more power and the car is setup correctly you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between coilovers and a good spring and insert setup.then its a case of needing track tires that you dont want to use on the road as they wear in 3000km.there are a few gometery tricks, to get a FWD to handle well.make sure you have an LSD, otherwise you'll be very slow out of corners.FWD is the worst possible choice for hillclimbs because of weight transfer.but on the track they are great fun, they are sensational under brakes with good pads.
hope this helps.

p.s "professionally engineered, not some flashy brand either". yep ill tell the boys to rip the flashy PENSKE's off the race cars, which a designed by amateurs, and get some new zealand professionally engineered shocks.
