They are different but do fit, i.e. some previous owner of my car had fitted the glass from a later model KE to my KE25, the glass fitted but is a slightly different shape which meant it did not seal properly.
So yes he could use it, but it is not the correct shape so it will look wrong and won't seal. The only commonality between the two is their length.
