Hmm well if the sump has been changed I can tell you that the dipsticks are different lengths that could lead you to believe the the sump is under full when it is indeed full (and lead to it showing full when it is 1L+ overfull).
But if it is a stock JZX91 1JZ with the stock sump etc then I'm just as confused as you are!
hehe back to looking for hard numbers!
