The silvertop has a spring tensioned bearing whereas the blacktop has a silicon tensioner (cylindrical tube with pin sticking out of it) kingmick: I used the blacktop bottom end because I got it for cheap, blacktop crankshafts were machined to tighter tolerances and the conrods are much lighter (compared to smallport 100kw.) It's also much more work adapting a 20V head for RWD configuration (water lines etc.) whereas smallport is pretty much plug 'n play. [Report message to a moderator]
