just got my pink slip from the dodgy guy down the road ... and now it is ready for rego............ phew!
got some new tyres put on....
things done so far....
tailgate... used hammer to bash it into place... now works perfectly
bonnet latch.... after some serious WD40 sessions... the bonnet will now latch and unlatch as it should
1x polish with red T-cut.... surprised with how good the results were
speakers... rattling noise from the rear was a loose speaker jumping around on the parcel shelf support.... i screwed it back in and connected it up... now works a treat
body... fish oiled a few rusty spots... considering to get the rust cut out and new bumpers put on???? any one got some OE '86 model bumpers lying around? anyone know a good smash repairer who does cash in hand work?
fixed up the idle... car was stalling all the time before... now it is sweet
did an oil change.... and air filter.... left the oil filter until i work out a way to get to the bastard!!!
new tyres... alignment.... and found out there is a leaky CV boot.. soon to be replaced
to do:
more t-cut polish
fix up rust
seems there is a pretty major oil leak under the car... can't really find it though..... also concerned about the timing belt... anyone know how to check the timing belt (how do you know it is on the way out??) and any good toyota mechanics around???
