Thu, 11 August 2005 10:02 Hi, Well, just had a fine, yet chilly, few days in the city of churches. Very nice place. I noticed a few black-africans around which is something you don't see much of in Sydney. Lots of asians around - but they're everywhere so nothing special there. Chicks aren't bad looking either. On par with Sydney. Better looking than the Brisbane chicks, and way better than anything Melbourne has on offer. I loved the news headlines which went on about the hospitals ripping out the organs of dead babies and not telling the parents. Quite ghoulish, yet interesting. No NRL news, which is a bit sad. But lots of AFL crap, which is sadder. I don't know much about AFL but if that Kickett guy got 6 weeks for knocking over another player then I think the AFL needs to have a hard look at itself. It's not supposed to be a girls game, so let Kickett play and let the fellas have some biff and knocks. I love your buses. They're so cute and I just wanna ride on one. I was hassled by a guy sprouting the words of the Gospel in Rundle St Mall, which impressed me no end. Usually in Sydney these wankers yell out to no one in particular, but in Adelaide (probably 'cos there's a lot less people) you get singled out and given a personal sermon. Nice touch. The Mekong Thai restaurant is very good and I loved the food. I'll have to go back there for some more. I got myself a small pad in Toorak Gardens, living next to a pair of sweet asian lesbians. Not too many modern cars aroubnd the place. Most seem to be a few years old. Sadly I saw a lot of WRX cars - a most unattractive vehicle. But, I saw a few old Toyotas - mainly Corollas and Camrys. Saw a few real old Honda Civics and that was good to see. Did not see any old Celicas... I'm talking proper RWD models, and certainly no RA28s. I may just have to rip the car away from the kids, be a masif indian giver, and get the old girl down to Adelaide to show them what a true classic looks like. The place dies after 8pm in the evening. I never got a chance to ride your trains, but I'll have plenty of time to do that. I noticed there's a fair bit of rivalry between Melbourne and Adelaide. I think this is a good thing. Certainly much more even then something like Melbourne trying to lock horns with Sydney. So, next Thursday I'll be in Adelaide for good. I'm gonna invite my asian neighbours in for a meal and sus them out a bit more closely. Also, means I can get to the next Toymods meeting on Monday evening. Maybe even wrestle the daughters for the RA25 so I can take it one last time. seeyuzz river.... roaming raconter (spell?) and journalist [Report message to a moderator]
