well with a silvertop 20V, you most definitely can use the SPD wire which comes down from the dash to the stock ECU on an AE92 SX....
In fact, on the AE101 cars, the electronic speedo sends its signal to the dash guages and then the SPD signal is generated by the speedo guage and that goes to the ECU.
unsure of how applicable this is with a blecktop
