sideshow Forums Junkie Location: sydney Registered: March 2003	Re: 1g-gze/1g-gte into hiluz Mon, 15 August 2005 09:27 a 1ggze is good off the mark a 1ggte with abit more boost is similar to a 1uz all in hiluxes if u go auto u might need an auto ecu too be wired up to the gbox aswell this is a bigger job than wiring the engine ecu i can wire up yr looms and send them back to u with only afew wires to connect even my hilux with a 1uz isnt that fast its just like a v8 commodore maybe bit better anything u do wont be super fast unless u get a 1jz and boost it up but for a work ute with good torque a 1uz is good but will cost more for a little bit more grunt the 1ggze is good and is the easiest to fit as the gte hits the master cyl or brake bnooster then u have to worry bout intercooler plumbing the gze fits in with the most minimal mods then its easy to fit bigger brakes if your engineer wants them engine mounts have to be custom made for 1gg and 1uz if u run std ecu emissions should not be a prob 1gg should bolt to a common toyota gbox i can find out my friend just did a 1ggze into a hilux anyway u go it will still cost over 4000 by time u finish [Report message to a moderator]
