Crank: linish mains, grind big ends .025" U/S Conrods: shot peen, resize, ARP conrod bolts Balanced end over end with pulley, flywheel, clutch cover, and of the all above. Lightened flywheel. New ACL cromoly rings. New genuine Toyota rod bearings. New ACL main bearings and thrust washers. Still gotta get the 304/288 cams ground up. As for induction, it turns out some clown took my money for 44PHH Mikuni Solex carbs, and inside the box posted me 40PPHs. Good style there. Maybe I could throw my old 40s on, get some refund action, and save for DCOE throttle bodies? Yeah, maybe. New Cibie driving lights, Sparco seat and Sabelt harness, steering wheel, dash and Omori instruments, rear dampers and Whiteline stabilisers are fitted. Anyone who wants to make up some seat brackets is highly recommended to invest in $15 worth of a metre or two of 2" 5mm plate steel and a bench vice rather than shelling out $400 at a motorsport shop for the more elegant equivilent. The guys here must be getting sick of me... I keep rolling up there asking about stuff while they're trying to build Clubmans and so forth with every intention of employing their services until I hear the damage, then choke and return home to nut it out myself for 1/50th the price. Maybe I'm not in their preferred target market. Inviting offers for the loan of a torque wrench for a couple of days sometime in the next month. seriously.
