Well i finally got round to making a thread to show off the old crown i bought a few months ago (not that its a specioal thing to look at or anything ). i think a nice set of wheels and lowered from its oringal "ride high kit" look will make the car quite attractive (well as attractive as a crown could be ) It is a 1976 MS85 model imported. had a 4m, which now lives at the chandler dump in brisbane. the car has an ORIGINAL 47557km on it! a log book to prove it! the plan for this one is to use it as a tow car for the ma61 to and from events such as drags etc, also to have as a good 2nd/3rd car. i see myself getting hitched in a coupla years, so i figure i might let a girl drive my ma70 - its slow enough.
The motor thats going to go into it is the 351 motor in the pics brett is about to post. nothing too flash, just something with a bit of low grunt to pull the 1700kg it will need to. was originally looking at installing a 7m of some description, but being a more performance orientated motor i dont think it was up to the task.
i will need a towbar for this thing - does anyone have one or know of a kit for them?
i can feel some love coming for the engine conversion idea, just like the supra. but the motor is on its way so there is no turning back now
