that depends on rpm. some ppl use hydraulics but up high they may pump up... if you go solid you need a lightweiht option, not just lockign the original lifters
yes. yes. no real difference in ports, but free higher compression (after pistons).. a 3k head could also be used if hogged out a bit. 3K CCV=33mls, 4K CCV=36mls
that depends on your cam. it's dynamic compression that is important..
with the combustion chamber mods on my head (see my page), and camtech 609 cam (435 lift, 231/235@50thou) i had 10.2CR, but i think i could get away wth 11 befor epinging.. less duration = less compression (required)
