Shudders as in runs on for a couple of seconds after you switch off the key? I've had that a couple of times...
Carby cleaner would be worth a try, as would fuel filter if it hasn't been done in a while. Though I've covered both of those bases with mine.

Check the throttle body on the carby for the other thing, mine gets stuck on slightly so has to be adjusted accordingly to compensate.
