I agree with tt86 that the power figures seem optimistic.

Try and find out inducer and exducer diameters. The inducer number is the one that people will refer to when talking of turbos eg. 66mm turbo.

I understand that a lower A/R turbine housing increases back pressure and therefore reduces power in the top end but wouldn't a t4 exhaust housing be bigger anyway. So the area divided by the radius may be a lower number but the wheel still may be larger than the t3 turbine. Do you understand what I am trying to say in a not very clean manner? Smile

For reference my HKS ta45s has a 65mm inducer on the compressor wheel (big) and it has a .7 a/r compressor and .92 a/r turbine. It starts to come on boost at 3000rpm (1psi) and full boost by about 4100rpm (16psi). It feels pretty laggy and at present I can't even hit boost in 1st gear (which I suspect is because of very low diff gearing). Also, the dyno numbers weren't too good but the real truth will come out when I hit the strip tomorrow Smile

BTW pete, if you aren't doing anything come over to Willowbank. Trying to get a few 1j guys out there Smile
