strip all the show off crap out of it and only leave in what is really important, make the car as light as possible and only have enough fuel in the tank that you need, extra fuel is just extra weight,
think of it like this,
a car has 100Kw and weighs 1000Kg thats a power to weight ratio of 10Kg per 1Kw
you take out 100Kg of weight from the car and thats now put the power to weight ratio up to, 9Kg per Kw,
people often forget about weight to power ratio,
everytime you respray a car without taking it back to bar metal your just adding an extra 4 or so Kg's to the car,
focus on the weight, octane booster is a bit of a gimmic, only gives you slight increase in power if your engine is currently tuned properly,
if your car isn't dyno tuned then get it on a dyno, and you will find a good increase in Kw there which will be long term and most probably save you more money on fuel.
just remember all those floormats adds weight, that water in the washer bottle is extra weight, that spare wheel is extra weight and that 25L of fuel in the tank you don't need thats another 25 or so Kg, and when it comes down to tenths and hundreds of a second it makes all the differance,
although if its a 22 or 23 your driving the fuel in the tank may help traction as its right over the rear axle but if your car doesn't have huge power figures then you don't need the extra weight over the back axle.
people have to remembers its not just increasing engine power that improves performance but also the reduction of the cars weight,
in rally cars it often comes down to a figure like for every 10Kg in the car is a tenth of a second a Kilometer
