No offence intended, but as said in your other post where you asked about '23 measurements, this is your first car, so it is in your best interests to take the whole build-up thing slowly. I happily admit, 18RC eats balls, but it is plenty for a young driver, and quite frankly, I am a better driver for being stuck in shitheap cars.
Never underestimate the 18RG for a moderate performance upgrade either. They are decent engines, and although working one is not the greatest bang for buck option, you will still be saving money since insurance will be breathing down your neck if you say "I'm 17, and my car has twin turbos".
Also, have you done any suspension work thus far? Firm springs with well matched shocks and some big 'I don't take no shit from no-one' sway bars will make it feel like a brand new car.
As far as exhaust is concerned, 2 1/2 is plenty to start with, but remembering that it will need some fabrication anyway. Also, the stock 1G intercooler eats poo, and there is no chance that the stock cooler pipes will go where u want them on your 23, so you'll have to get new ones anyway.
Good luck with whatever path you choose, but be rational with your decisions, and don't rush into a conversion that may be harder than enthuisiasm can complete on it's own.
