That's a rather hand-wavey, vague kinda question!
teh TA22 is lighter, shorter, and in a lot of peoples opinions, the sexy one. The RA23 is longer in the front end, has a bonnet bulge and is about 100kg heavier. The advantage of the extra weight in the RA23 is in conversion calculations. Essentially, you can stick a slightly larger engine in there. And you can stick sixes in with slightly less grief. TA23 is an RA23 with a T series engine and gearbox in it.
If u wanna follow the well trodden 1GGTE path (2L straight 6, twin turbo), an RA23 is your body of choice. For a 4 cyl < 2.5L, the TA22 is probably as good an option, 'cos you have less weight.
