i will be acquiring one complete 18r-gu and one block with pistons and crank soon i will check the extra pistons and see if they are oversized. Also have you thought of using a block off a 18r because essentially they are the same block maybe you could find one that only needs a hone and not a rebore saving the old pistons. I dont know if it is possible to do this but can you use standard 18r rings in a 18r-g engine because the rings do fit in the lands on the slug.
