the pulleys have got to be different between cars, i got a soarer belt which was 1940 and was too short on my chaser 1jz with all accessories. According to toyota the chaser belt is 1970 and a jza70 is 1955 
oh and my old belt measured out to be 1985 but has heaps of cracks in it so i ordered a 1980 belt

The water pump pulley is different between engines fitted with normal vs hydraulic water pumps 
I was under them impression that the size difference was little, and that the same serpentine belt could be used regardless however...perhaps this is wrong?
