If I was you, assuming you want to run EFI and not carbs, I would pick up an engine loom on ebay UK as this will simplify things enormously. This leaves one other ECU plug which essentially runs off under the dash, and handles numerous other vital circuits to make it run and also make it run smoothly in all conditions, idle ups and so on. There is still some other stuff you will need to make up especially to get power to the injectors and so on but not to hard with some perseverence. Study the wiring loom diagrams or even better the Electrical wiring diagram book from Toyota. Good luck.
