Easiest way (from personal experience) is to get hold of a steamer and use it to soften / moisten the tint and then use a blade to lift the edge of the tint and gently peal it away. The steamer needs to both heat and wet the entire film to ensure no glue residue is left sticking to the window. DO NOT use a razor blade on your rear window defroster lines unless you don't want them to work ever again. If you take your time and apply enough steam, the old tint will peal away in one piece and leave very little glue residue. The best way to then clean the glass is with a gentle scouring pad and a little bit of detergent and a bit of elbow grease. Then rinse off with water and dry with a clean lint free towel. Put towels on your rear parcel shelf, as it will get quite damp otherwise - same goes for door trims - either remove them , or tape plastic over any power window switches etc.. It will take you anywhere from about 30 mins to 2 hrs to remove the tint - depending on how good the steamer is and how sticky the glue is... You can hire the steamers from Kennards and similar places - get the small wand based ones as they are easier to get into the corners.. [Report message to a moderator]
