Depending on how bad the rust is,
1.conrods just sand it off or if its only surface rust use some scotch brite and turps or kero or wet and dry and kero
2.crank. same as above unless it has pits then a grind is in order. I guess its up to you but if the crank has pits in it i would probably throw it away and start again theres plenty of 18r cranks out there that you can use.
