spark plug lead warranty

Hey,
Got a set of Top Gun leads, cost me $120 bucks, as i have an import.
Now it says on the box, which i still have, 3 year, or 60,000km warranty.
Now today, it was time to replace the spark plugs, so i pulled on the boot, as your meant to do..and removed 3 of the 4 leads no problem.
got to the 4th one, and the boot detatched from the leg part (my car is DOHC, so it has the long snout type thing). It's still kind of connected, but there's a slight tear in the boot now as well.
Does warranty cover this? as the lead was being removed as it says. Leads are about 8-9 months old.
My other question is:
My car has square tops... There is an exact same one, for camry's i believe, with circle tops.
Can i use these ones instead, as they cost 30 odd dollars, as opposed to 110.
I was told, the only difference would be that water can get in the circle tops. Now, as long as i don't water my engine, i should be ok right?
Please advise on both warranty, wether they will cover it, as well as the circle top q.
cheers
