Howdy, the manifold is made of steam pipe, and it is quite good inside. Just was thinking if there was any protruding bits of weld or slightly offset pipe joints that the extruding process might be a good thing to clean it all up.
Though, i've just found out that the company in Syd only looks after cast iron and cannot do steam pipe.
Might not worry about it now, as you say I think the gains would probably be negligible.
