Except v8's aren't allowed at Jambo or in Sport Compact.

I know slicks are harder on the driveline but why exactly is this? If you have slicks with a nice soft sidewall that twist on the launch, isn't that reducing stress in the driveline by taking it up in the tyres. Rather than harder sidewall street tyres that won't twist.
