What a stupid fukn idea. People are gonna purchase more fuel on the previous day...or the day after...hence will have very impact on fuel demand. Weekly fuel consumption will be unchanged.
This is the reason that the government highly tax fuel and other goods such as alcohol and cigarettes...they're considered inelastic goods. So as their price goes up (and tax % increased), demand is little affected, thus they can put up the price, people will still buy it...and they all make bulk cash.
It should be a 'car free week'. Where everyone boycots using their cars and rides a bike or uses public transport for a week.
Either way...we are mass controlled by the Government and oil companies.
