Re: Car immobiliser problems... Sun, 11 September 2005 14:47 Go to previous messageGo to previous message
The problem seems to happen sometimes, then go away and come back again! I went to try entering the code but everything was fine - it was like there wasnt a problem. Went to a mates then tried driving tonight, and now my tacho needle flicks on and off, the light in the button for the rear defogger turns off, the battery light flicks on sometimes in synchronisation with the LED for the immobiliser and the headlights go off for a split second randomly!!! I went to drive the car again later and now there is no light blinking for the immobiliser, when I turn the car to on the radiator fans go on as if everything is fine but the car wont start. Its like the immobiliser has completely stopped the car from starting... I am seriously confused as to what the problem might be! The problem has only surfaced since getting a new battery! I have checked alot of the fuses, they are fine.

One other question - There is a series of three fuses attached in a box to the positive terminal of the battery, I have checked through the car manual and I cant find anything regarding what the fuses do?! Does anyone know the answer to this question?
