4K has about 10mm higher deck height, so the exhaust may sit a little higher. or you could muck around with the engine moutns and sit the engine lower/tilted.
5K has same deck height as 4K.
basically everything else is same as far as mounting goes.
exhaust manifolds bolt to both so if you have extractors already, all good.
your 4spd has the shifter in the middle of the extension housing?? if so, get a 5spd with the same shifter position (anything up to KE5X), and it wil fit ok. crossmember should be the same with these too.
the KE70 boxes have a different extension housing, with the shifter at the rear of the housing, and different mounting design for the crossmember.
it can fit, you just need to make a bracket that goes from the KE70 box to the KE20 rubber mount (kinda like a U shaped/saddle type thing)
pull out the speedo drive gear (the driven gear) and look for a number on either the gear or the shaft. it will probably be 20 or 22. if so, just put in the same one you have now.
i think the housings are all interchangeable.
both the 20 and 22 tooth driven gear use the 6tooth drive(worm) gear. if the driven one is 19tooth, it has a 5 tooth worm and is not compatible with the 20/22 tooth....
also check that the output splines are the same.
also check input splines (do you have a large or small clutch? i think the small ones were only in the KE10's and earyl 20's)
other than that, should be drop in.
hope this helps
