i had this experience once, found out there was nothing wrong with the clutch, after i pulled it out ofcourse . even after i put the new one in it kept on slipping during spirited driving.
then i found out that there is an adjustment at the clutch peddle, its a bastard to get to, but it solved the problem. I would try that 1st before taking off the gearbox, but it defineately is a clutch problem, and most likely you will need a new one.
