I got a friend of mine to buy my clutch for me and he came back with a RPM Semi-sprung brass button clutch kit with a one tonne pressure plate, it cost me $300 a couple 'o months ago, installed it myself.
Have been led to belive that brass button & ceramic puck clutch plates are the same thing, well mine was called Brass button and it has ceramic pucks anyways.
Try this link for a pic of a normal clutch and a B' button for a 3S-GE - http://www.users.bigpond.com/darkfire4u/images/Clu tches.JPG
They are VERY grippy, but I've found that you can slip a semi-sprung enough to drive the car normally around town (apparently a solid centre, ie- non sprung is a different story), but if your engine mounts are iffy expect some serious shudder.
That aside, My MR2 had a new standard clutch fitted when I got it and it always had a bit of slip off the lights - The brass button has never yet looked like giving any slip at all, also remember that the flywheel must be machined before using one and it is likely to be a bit of a mess when you next have to change the clutch...
