JonsonRA23 wrote on Tue, 11 June 2002 7:20 PM | Im thinking of putting a 18rg in my ra23, ive read they are rated at about 140hp, a bit more power would be good so what if i put on twin 45mm webers, better cams and big exhaust? Any advice on cams? what are the standard ones like? What size exhaust would be best for an 18rg?
Roughly how much more hp would this give?

Hey there have an 18rg in my ra23 (im in adelaide)
The standard cams are ok i guess, but to get some new ones (billets) i was quted something like $900 or something, thats fom HUNTERS, normally the cheapest place around, after that i decided to leave thre stock ones in.
They are supposed to make 145hp at the fly, If the info i was told is corect, Which is aparrently 108kw at the fly, SO about 60-70 KW at the wheels seems pretty good, when my car was tuned by a dodgy dyno place they said mid 60's
PM me if u have any other questions
BTW i have a 2 inch on my 18rg....or 2.25...i dont remember and its too cold to go and look
