The valve sits on top of the Thermostat housing. A hose from the intake after the resonator leads into it, from there it is connected to the inlet manifold with another hose. It is connected with the color blue connector. if you decide to remove it for a small look, careful of the 2 hoses connected to the lower part of the valve, it is connected to the cooling lines. As for pulling it apart. Can't help you there. I had similar problems and got given one by GT. It solved all my cold starts in the morning and threw the old one into the back paddock and shot it. PS. Not many hoses remain in Australia that lead into and from the cold start by-pass valve. One cost me $34. [Report message to a moderator]
