robbo, seriously, you should see a worked, triple side draught hi-po 1969 2M before you you piss so streamingly upon them. c.inch for c.inch, it would most certainly piss on your 302.
myth: the 4m has a fair bit of potential if youre up for some fab work and a lot of fiddling about. parts these dys are HELLA cheap, and you can afford to have a good play with them, and learn all about OHC engines, carbies etc etc.
theyre a really robust engine as long as youre sensible, and take PREVENTATIVE maintenance measures (unlike the majority of loud vessles on these forums). i can garuntee you youll have a lot of fun toying with the old 4m, and youll be suprised as to how hard they really can go.
