yeah it is. It's actually a '66 i just found out. His name is Troy. I remmember when i first saw it. My mate was dropping me off at the top of my street in his KE30 panelvan which had a 13B turbo rotary in it. It looked pretty tough dumped on 17's and the like. Anyway, it was like 11pm and i hadn't yet exited the car cause we were too busy talking about stuff. Anyway, we were stopped in the middle of the road which curved out of sight around a bend. We were chatting away, then all of a sudden we saw some lights hit the houses that were adjacent the bend, weird due to the fact it was so late (usually that road is dead at that time) and also we noticed the lights were unusually low, sort of facing down on the grass. Then we saw the vehicle as it rounded the bend towards us. It was too dark to make it out but all we could tell was that it was sitting reasonably high at the rear and quite low at the front, hence the lights facing the ground. Then it looked as though the vehicle swerved but it was a bit weird. We just put it down to us being tired. We thought it was his brother swerving at us mucking around, as his WB ute sits high at the back and low at the front because it is tubbed. We thought "ohhh it's your brother, wind your window down" then as he winded his window down to talk to his "brother" we looked closer in the dark and i said 'hang on a secon..." and with that all of a sudden THE LIGHTS FACED THE SKY!!! TWICE!!! The guy just started jumping as he drove past us!!! We were like "YEAH!!!!" thumbs out the window and a few cheers, you know the usual. Then we looked as he backed it up so that his driver window was horisontally-parallel with my mates drivers window, just one problem, it wasn't vertically parallel... ZOOOOT chsshhh!!! FIXED THAT PROBLEM!
We spoke to him for ages as we asked him about the car and he asked us if there was much going-on in Civic where we had just been. He gave us a visual explanation of how he wanted to make an entrance in civic after he stopped home to get his wallet, VERY NICE! We ended up talking for ages, so long that some lady had walked past us (at 11:30 at night!) and was almost at the top of his street (next one down from mine). We said goodbye to him and he drove off giving us a nice '3 wheel pose' as he scraped the crap out of his rear bumper on the ground. He just left it in that stance as he turned into his street, giving the lady a nice clear view of the undercarriage of his car! It was so funny seeing the look on her face when she first saw it, her jaw dropped and she just stopped her walking and stared! lol. Anyway that's my story, my friend also got so hooked on the car that he is now in the process of putting some fairly beefy hydraulics in his toyota HiLux ute, should be good i can't wait!
