i wouldnt bother pulling things like the air by pass valves apart...they're an old engine lets face it...its just something we have to live with...

guess you should just put up with the car stalling robbo. its old, what do you expect... why waste everyones time trying to help you huh??

mrshin: cold air bypass should be fully open when cold, and slowly close as the temp increases. the cold start injector switch should be on when cold, and switch off at operating.

cold start spray should be a fine mist, not a dribble. youll be horribly riching out cyls 3+4 and leaning out 1,2,5,6. that could potentailly stall things.

is the EGR valve working properly?

are you sure all the vac hoses are patent? have you tried simply running some carby cleaner thought the trottle body whilst the car is hot? you could also try sucking a bottle of redex through a vacuum hose when hot, maybe clean a few things up.

let me think about this one Smile

cheers
