For Dead-Head type regulators:
Multiply maximum horsepower by .23 to calculate minimum pump size in "free flow" GPH.
Example: 400 HP x .23 = 91 GPH "free flow"
For Return-Style regulators:
Multiply maximum horsepower by .17 to calculate minimum pump size in "free flow" GPH.
Example: 400 HP x .17 = 68 GPH "free flow"
MULTIPLIER for Methanol (approx):
FJ = Fuel Jet
MJ = Methanol jet
MJ = 2 x (FJ - (FJ x 0.15))
SO.....
for 200hp on methanol, using a dead head reg, ill need something that can flow about 78 GPH free flow
using a return type reg, ill need a pump to flow about 58 GPH free flow
i'd ideally need to maintain these kinds of flow rate at around 6psi
